I see the need for a magnetic screwdriver for the screws. Makes it seem easy. I was just told the motor on my 5600 is going out.

This is an excellent site. The multiple pictures and videos are great. I wish parts sites for other products were as good.

Thank you! Thank you! Your informative website saved me at least $100. I watched the video on changing the timer. Ordered the part Saturday, received it Monday and had it put in within 20 minutes. My softener is working! I will definitely use this company again. It's great!!

Thanks. Video was good and cross reference of old 1996 part number B13400 to new 2008 part number 18743-1 was helpful. Thanks again.

I replaced one myself before I saw the video. He did touch on how small and cumbersome the screws are, which is true. I recommend the use of a magnetized screwdriver to aid in replacing the screws.

My timer motor runs hot. It keeps the correct time. Should the motor run hot?

      * Yes, the Fleck Timer Motors ( 13400, 18743, 18743-1, etc ) all run hot to the touch normally. This is not something to be concerned about.
